NY Times predicts Fannie Mae collapse -- in 1999!

Democrats are completely responsible for an easily foreseeable problem (the housing meltdown), and yet convince the public that they have no culpability. Why aren't Republicans focused on educating the American people?

Even the NY Times with its excessive liberal agenda predicted the collapse in 1999:

Important excerpts:
"Fannie Mae ... has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people ..."

Pet Peeve #1

The United States is NOT a democracy! From average citizens to news anchors to the current and former Presidents, the mischaracterization of the USA as a democracy continues, and drives me insane every time I hear it.

There's a reason that none of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or any of the 50 state constitutions contains a reference to the word "democracy". That's because we live in a Constitutional Republic, NOT a Democracy!

Best Wishes

I've noticed a major difference between Republicans and Democrats with the imminent inauguration of President-elect Obama. Most of my conservative friends have a genuine hope that Obama does well and that the country will flourish under his leadership. This is reflected in national polls as well.

Over the past eight years, liberals displayed true hatred for President Bush and anyone in his administration, and happiness at any harm that befell the country, hoping for political gain.

Internet Explorer 6 -- an indescribable evil

If you use IE6, expect problems in the way this website is presented.

PLEASE UPGRADE to version 7!
It's free and will save you a lot of trouble.

Millions of hours of development time have been wasted getting IE6 to do what it should already do. I don't want to increase that total.
